Welcome to the RMPL’s 4th Annual Country and Cover Lot Auction. This is a LIVE AUCTION that will be held on February 26th beginning at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time. in the meeting annex room. Country lots are offered as a selection of stamps, or sometimes single stamps or sets. Nearly all have each stamp identified by Scott number, but there are a few that are unidentified lots (no Scott numbers, unchecked for watermarks, perforation varieties, etc.). Cover lots are offered in bulk lots with minimal or no duplication.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE COUNTRY LOTS
-Unless stated otherwise, country lots will consist of mint and used regular and back-of-book issues.
-Unidentified country lots may have minimal duplication. However, any duplication was not figured into the estimated number of stamps in the lot nor the lot’s estimated catalog value.
-Stamps that catalog $5.00 and up are listed in the lot’s description.
-Stamps designated as space fillers (SF) may have poor centering, heavy cancels, missing perforations, toning, etc. When estimating the total catalog value of the lot, they have been valued at 10-20% of their full catalog value depending upon the fault, or sometimes included with no value assigned.
-Mint stamps without gum are valued at 50% of their full catalog value
