Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library\u2019s 20th<\/sup> Annual Large Lots Auction. This is a LIVE AUCTION that will be held in the Meeting Room, Saturday, September 27, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This auction features 279 different lots comprised of stamps or covers in albums, on album pages, and in stock books; commemorative collections; bulk cover lots; miscellaneous philatelic-related material; supplies (stock books, cover albums, mounts, glassines, etc); ephemera; and philatelic books. In arriving at a value for these lots, we have combined the estimated value of the album, pages, stamps, or covers, where applicable. Where pertinent, we have provided the face value of the stamps in a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE L<\/strong>OTS<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unless it is specifically stated, all albums listed have pages that require stamp hinges or mounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assume that the condition of an album, stock book, cover album, etc. is very good or better if not stated in the lot\u2019s description. If there is a problem with the condition of any item, it will be disclosed in the lot’s description.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individual covers in bulk cover lots usually are not in pristine condition. Assume that some of the covers may have scuffs, damage to the back flap, toning, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VIEWING INFORMATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In-person viewing of the lots will be available in the Meeting Room Monday, September 22nd<\/sup> through Friday, September 26th<\/sup> during normal Library business hours (10-2 Monday-Friday and also 5-8 Thursday).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NO SATURDAY VIEWING IS PERMITTED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ABSENTEE BIDDING INFORMATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are unable to attend the live auction, there are four ways to submit bids. Please note that all absentee bids must be received by 8:00 p.m. MST, Thursday, September 25, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Drop off a completed bid sheet at the Library.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Bid by email at RMPLauctionmanager@gmail.com<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Bid online using the Online Bid Sheet<\/a> to place your bids.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Bid by mail. Send bid sheetAll absentee bid sheets must be received by 8:00 pm, MST, Thursday, September 25 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    BIDDING PROCEDURES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    *NO BUYER\u2019S PREMIUM WILL BE CHARGED*<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    -Bidders are assigned a number to remain anonymous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    All lots are sold to the highest bidder. The bidder is responsible for any errors in bidding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The winning bidder takes the lot at one increment above the next highest bid, as hammered down by the auctioneer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    An RMPL volunteer serves as an agent bidder for all absentee bids. The volunteer does not know who the absentee bidder is, only the assigned number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the event of a tie between the highest floor bidder and an absentee bidder, one advance over the highest floor bid is taken, with preference to the floor bidder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If an absentee bid is the only bid received for a lot and is more than the opening bid, the lot shall be sold to the absentee bidder for the minimum bid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Bids must be submitted in whole dollar amounts. For example, a bid of $22.75 will be rounded down to $22.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Bids also must be submitted in correct bid increments; if not, they will be adjusted down to the correct increment. For example, a bid of $32.00 will be adjusted to $30.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Bids below the stated opening bids will be respectfully rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Unspecified amount \u201cbuy bids\u201d or telephone bids are not accepted.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PAYMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Payment may be made by cash, check, Visa, or Master Card.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. ALL bidders, whether successful or not, will be notified (by phone or email) by 4:00 p.m. Wednesday following the conclusion of the auction. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Payment is expected when the lot(s) are picked up, or within 2 weeks of notification for absentee bidders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Colorado residents will be charged 4.25% sales tax. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Shipping will be via the U.S.P.S. at a cost to be determined. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. FREE DOMESTIC SHIPPING ON ORDERS TOTALING $175.00 AND ABOVE. <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. If a winning absentee bidder wishes to have a purchase insured, we must be notified of this. The bidder will incur the cost.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
