Welcome to the R.M.P.L.’s 16th Annual Large Lots Auction featuring 226 different lots. This is a LIVE AUCTION that will be held on October 23rd beginning at 12:00 noon, in the meeting annex room. Large lots are offered as stamps or covers in albums, stamps on album pages and stock book pages, commemorative collections, miscellaneous material, bulk cover lots, and various supplies (assorted empty albums and pages, stamp mounts, etc.). In arriving at a value for these lots, we have combined the estimated value of the album, pages, and stamps or covers, where applicable. Where pertinent, we have provided the face value of the stamps in a lot.
VIEWING AND BIDDING INFORMATION
Lots will be available for viewing Monday October 18th-Friday October 22nd during normal business hours in the Library meeting annex room (special hours Thursday 12-6). NO SATURDAY VIEWING WILL BE ALLOWED. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE LIVE AUCTION, THERE ARE FOUR WAYS TO SUBMIT AN ABSENTEE BID SHEET (ALL OF THESE MUST BE RECEIVED BY 8:00 p.m. MST, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21ST:

BIDDING PROCEDURES
*NO BUYER’S PREMIUM WILL BE CHARGED*
-Bidders will be assigned a number to remain anonymous.
-All lots will be sold to the highest bidder. The bidder is responsible for any errors in bidding.
-The winning bidder takes the lot at one advance over the next highest bid, as hammered down by the auctioneer.
-An RMPL volunteer serves as agent bidder for all absentee bids. These bids are not revealed to anyone, except in the bidding process. The volunteer does not know who the absentee bidder is, only the assigned absentee bidder’s number.
-In the event of a tie between the highest floor bidder and an absentee bidder, one advance over the highest floor bid will be taken, with preference to floor bidders.
-If an absentee bid is the only bid received for a lot and it is more than the minimum bid, the lot shall be sold to the absentee bidder at the minimum bid.
-Bids must be submitted in whole dollar amounts. For example, a bid of $22.49 will be rounded down to $22.00.
-Unspecified amount “buy bids” and telephone bids will not be accepted.
-Lots failing to receive a bid will be withdrawn for future auctions or disposal.
PAYMENT
Payment may be made by cash, check, Visa, Master Card or PayPal. A 5% surcharge will be added for pay pal purchases. Successful bidders will be notified (by phone or email) by 4:00 p.m. Wednesday following the conclusion of the auction. Payment is expected when lot(s) are picked up or within 2 weeks for absentee bidders. Colorado residents will be charged 4.25% sales tax. Shipping will be via the U.S.P.S. at a cost to be determined. FREE DOMESTIC SHIPPING ON ORDERS TOTALING $150.00 AND ABOVE. If a winning absentee bidder wishes to have a purchase insured, we must be notified of this. The bidder will incur the cost.
