Welcome to the 32nd Annual Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library Silent Auction. This auction will be held in conjunction with the Rocky Mountain Stamp Show, May 8th – May 10th, 2026, at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds. The auction features 846 lots of better United States and Worldwide singles, sets, covers, ephemera and a couple of specialized collections. There is something for every collector.

The auction closes on May10th sometime between 12 and 1pm. Online bidding closes on Thurs, May 7th at 8pm.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOTS

-Unless it is specifically stated, all albums listed in the lots have pages which require stamp hinges or mounts.

-There are numerous lots in this auction featuring Palo album pages. They are all brand new, sometimes in their original shrink wrap packaging. They all feature  stamp illustrations in color and are laid out according to the order of the SC catalog.  Please note that Palo pages are designed to fit only in Palo albums.

-Assume that the condition of albums, album pages, etc. is very good or better.  If there is a problem with the condition of any item in the lot, it will be stated in the lot’s description.

VIEWING INFORMATION

In person viewing of the lots, during normal Library business hours, will be held
in the Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library meeting room from Monday, May 4th thru Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, and at the show.

ABSENTEE BIDDING INFORMATION

If you are unable to attend the live auction, there are four ways to submit bids. Please note that all absentee bids must be received by 8:00 p.m. MST, Thursday, May 7th, 2026.

  1. Drop off a completed bid sheet at the Library.
  2. Bid by email at auctionmgr@rmplauctions.org
  3. Bid online using the Online Bid Sheet to place your bids.
  4. Bid by mail. Send bid sheet to: Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library, 2038 S. Pontiac Way, Denver, CO  80224. Please put “attention auction manager” on the front of the envelope.

BIDDING PROCEDURES

-Bidders will be assigned a number to remain anonymous.

-All lots will be sold to the highest bidder. The bidder is responsible for any errors in bidding.

-The winning bidder takes the lot at the dollar amount bid.

-An RMPL volunteer serves as agent bidder for all absentee bids. These bids are not revealed to anyone, except in the bidding process. The volunteer does not know who the absentee bidder is, only the assigned absentee bidder’s number.

-In the event of a tie between the highest floor bidder and an absentee bidder, one advance over the highest floor bid will be taken, with preference to floor bidders.

-Bids must be submitted in whole dollar amounts. For example, a bid of $22.49 will be rounded down to $22.00.

-Unspecified amount “buy bids” and telephone bids will not be accepted.

-Lots failing to receive a bid will be withdrawn for future auctions or disposal.

PAYMENT

  1. Payment may be made by cash, check, Visa, or Master Card.
  2. ALL bidders, whether successful or not, will be notified (by phone or email) by 4:00 p.m. Wednesday following the conclusion of the auction.
  3. Payment is expected when the lot(s) are picked up, or within 2 weeks of notification for absentee bidders.
  4. Colorado residents will be charged 4.25% sales tax.
  5. Shipping will be via the U.S.P.S. at a cost to be determined.
  6. FREE DOMESTIC SHIPPING ON ORDERS TOTALING $150.00 AND ABOVE.
  7. If a winning absentee bidder wishes to have a purchase insured, we must be notified of this. The bidder will incur the cost.
