Welcome to the RMPL’s 8th Annual Country, Cover, Postcard, and Large Lots Auction featuring 396 lots. This is a LIVE AUCTION that will be held on February 28th 2026 beginning at 11:00 AM in the meeting room.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOTS

Country lots are offered as a selection of stamps, or sometimes single stamps, or covers. Cover and postcard lots are offered in bulk with little or no duplication.

Unless stated otherwise, country lots will have mint and used regular and back-of-book issues.

Where applicable, stamps that catalog over $5.00 will be listed in a country  lot’s description.

Stamps designated as space fillers (SF) may have poor centering, heavy cancels, short perfs, toning, etc. When estimating the total catalog value of a lot, they are valued at much less than the full catalog value (generally 10%-25% or sometimes included with no value assigned).

Mint stamps without gum are valued at 50% of catalog value, and hinged stamps at 50%-70% of catalog value (unless there are specific prices in the catalog).

Bulk lots are offered on album pages, in glassines, in stock book pages, or loose, as with covers.

Commercial covers or postcards in bulk lots are generally not in pristine condition. Many may have frayed edges, stray marks, spots, toning, etc.

VIEWING INFORMATION

Lots will be available for in-person viewing Monday, February 23rd through Friday, February 27th in the meeting room during normal Library business hours (M-F 10-2 and Thursday 5-8).
