Welcome to the 31st Annual Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library Silent Auction. This auction will be held in conjunction with the Rocky Mountain Stamp Show, on May 23-25, at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds. This auction features 810 lots of better United States and Worldwide singles, sets, covers, ephemera, and a couple of specialized collections. There is something for every collector.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOTS
-Unless it is specifically stated, all albums listed in the lots have pages which require stamp hinges or mounts.
-Assume that the condition of albums, album pages, etc. is very good or better. If there is a problem with the condition of any item in the lot, it will be stated in the lot’s description.
VIEWING INFORMATION
In-person viewing of the lots, during normal Library business hours, will be held in the Library’s meeting room from Monday, May 19th, through Wednesday, May 21st, and at the show.

ABSENTEE BIDDING INFORMATION
Bids may be submitted online beginning March 1, 2025.
All bids must be received by 12:00 noon (MDT) on Sunday, May 25th.

- Note: If you are submitting a handwritten bid sheet, please provide a brief description of each lot, along with the lot number and your bid. Print as neatly as possible.
- Please make a copy of your completed, signed bid sheet for your records.
BIDDING PROCEDURES
*NO BUYER’S PREMIUM WILL BE CHARGED*
1. Lots will be sold to the winning bidders at their bid price. This is a silent auction. What you bid is what you pay if you win the lot.
2. Bidders are responsible for any errors in bidding.
3. Bidders are assigned a number to remain anonymous.
4. An RMPL volunteer serves as the agent bidder for all absentee bidders. The volunteer does not know the names of the bidders, only their bidder numbers.
5. Bids must be submitted in whole dollar amounts. For example, a bid of $23.35 will be rounded down to $23.00; a bid of $16.99 will be rounded down to $16.00.
6. In the event of a tie between two absentee bidders, a lot will be awarded to the first bid received.
7. Unspecified “buy bids” will not be accepted.
8. Telephone bids are not accepted.
PAYMENT
- Following the conclusion of the auction, lots will be ready for pickup at the Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library on Tuesday morning, May 27th, beginning at 10:00 am. If you are unable to pick up your lots, we will make arrangements to mail them to you.
- All bidders will be notified of the results by Wednesday, May 28th, by phone or email.
- Payment is expected when lots are picked up or within two weeks of notice for absentee bidders.
- 4. Payment may be made by cash, check, Visa, Master Card, or PayPal for international bidders.
- Shipping is via the USPS at a cost to be determined. Free domestic shipping on orders totaling $175.00 and above.
- If a bidder wishes to insure his lots to be mailed, we must be made aware of this. The bidder will incur the cost of the insurance.
